Jeffrey Pierce (“Alphonso”)
Jeff was born in Colorado and raised in Virginia. He toured the United States
performing Shakespeare for two years with the American Shakespeare
Company followed by a two-year stint shuttling between New York and
Shakespeare & Co. in the Berkshires. He has been acting in Los Angeles for 11 years with roles in The Nine, Charlie Jade, The Foreigner, and Fear Itself. His
most recent appearances were in the feature The Space Between and on
television in Castle, Terminator, and Knight Rider.
Michael Dempsey (“Frank”)
Michael is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He studied acting in New York before moving to Los Angeles 18 years ago. He has been a member of the Road
Theatre Company in North Hollywood for 13 years, and is a proud member of
SAG, AFTRA, and AEA. He is also the owner, producer, and actor of
Lakewood Pictures, and has produced and starred in four short films that
have played in over 25 film festivals. He has had appeared in Bowfinger,
Changeling, and The Ring II. He most recently appeared on Desperate
Housewives and Mad Men.
ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS
Director: Lije Sarki
Lije Sarki is the Director and Executive Producer of the feature film,
Alphonso Bow. Residing in Los Angeles since 2002, he has acted in many
different mediums of entertainment including film, television, theatre, and
commercials and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He has also produced several smaller scale projects such as the short film Get She Water, which is
now in pre-production as a full-length feature that he will direct. In the summer
of 2009 Lije produced and starred in the feature For Whom He Tolls, which
is now stepping into the festival circuit for release in 2010.
Alphonso Bow is Lije’s first feature as a director. He was raised in
Northern Michigan and Louisville, KY.
Writer: M Sarki
The writer of Alphonso Bow and father of Lije Sarki, M Sarki is an
accomplished poet with three notable collections to his credit. These books
include Zimble Zample Zumble, Little War Machine, and Mewl House.
More recently, his verse appeared in the latest two issues of NY Tyrant and in every issue of Unsaid. He is currently writing another screenplay for Nut
Bucket Films. Sarki resides in Louisville, KY.
Producer: Scott Mellini
Scott Mellini has over 20 years of experience on both sides of the camera.
He began his career as a child actor, and then as a production assistant,
eventually leading to his current role as Producer. Scott has started two very
successful production companies, Scissor Farm Entertainment and BEBO
Productions. As Executive Producer of Scissor Farm Entertainment, Scott has
produced numerous award wining television shows, films, and commercials.
Scott has created and developed shows for MTV and Fox, including over 40
episodes of the groundbreaking girls action sports/travel show “GKA.”
Cinematographer: Dan Coplan
Dan Coplan has been working professionally as a Director of Photography,
Steadicam Operator, and Camera Operator for the past 10 years. His notable
work includes the features Still Waiting and Labor Pains, and in television,
House M.D. and Desperate Housewives. Alphonso Bow was shot
combining
film and HD video and is Coplan's second collaboration with Lije Sarki
and Nut Bucket Films.
Dan is a member of the International Cinematographer's Guild, the Society
of Camera Operators, the Steadicam Operators Association and Steadicam
Guild, and Digital Cinema Society.
